RANT TIME!
(idk where this came from, but I suddenly feel like bitching about this, feel free to skip)
This scene in the Chamber of Secrets movie pisses me off so much because:
1. In the book, Hermione doesn’t know what a Mudblood is, Ron tells her. Just another case of Kloves giving Hermione Ron’s lines (WHICH IS SO ANNOYING BTW).
2. Once she knows what it means, she doesn’t fucking CRY over it, she’s just all “Oh, okay that’s mean but whatever.”
3. Hermione has never cared what Malfoy thinks for her, she knows he’s a bigoted and racist ass hole spouting the beliefs of his parents (in fact, I think she even SAYS THAT during this scene…or maybe that was Hagrid lol I can’t remember). She’s more worried about Ron’s slug problem than Malfoy’s racial slurs.
The combination of all of this annoys the crap out of me and make me want to throw things. lol idk WHY this part annoys me so much though. Maybe it’s because I feel like they’re making Hermione seem weaker than I feel she is by making her cry. idk idk.
